Living In Door County

Temperatures in Door County, Wisconsin are tempered by the waters of Lake Michigan which surround the narrow peninsula. In general, winters are milder and summers cooler and less humid than inland destinations. Warm summer days still mean sweaters or sweatshirts for evening strolls along the beach or around the campfire. The eastern shore along Lake Michigan is usually cooler than the western shore along the waters of Green Bay.

With 250 miles of shoreline, five state parks and more than a dozen county parks and conservation areas, Door County offers endless variety in ways to enjoy our scenic outdoors.
